Innodis Ltd, a member of the ALTIMA GROUP of companies – formerly known as Happy World Foods Ltd - was founded in 1973, and is now the largest food and grocery wholesale distributor in Mauritius. It currently services over 5,700 clients. In 1995, Innodis became listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius and reckons some 2500 shareholders.

It produces some 10,000 tons of chicken annually, ice-cream, yoghurt, flavoured milk, Ceres Nectar under license from Ceres Fruit Juices Pty Ltd. It further operates the sole state-of-the-art rice milling plant in Mauritius under Peninsula Rice Milling Ltd.


It is actively pursuing a strategy to diversify further into manufacturing, and is implementing a poultry-rearing project in Mozambique and contemplating other african countries as future poles of development in the region. Innodis is also engaged in retailing, with four cash & carry outlets under the name of SUPERCASH.

Innodis has created and developed a number of its own brands such as Prodigal and Carmen (poultry), DairyVale and Olé (yoghurt and flavoured milk), Twin Cows and Island Dairy (milk), Rimilda and Rozana (rice), Premier (beef and mutton) and Marina (sea-foods), which have become household names in Mauritius.

The company has crafted business relationships and distribution and supply agreements with a number of world-class companies, including Nestlé, Kimberly-Clark, Unilever, Barilla, Fromageries Bel (France) and Ceres Fruit Juices Pty Ltd (South Africa).



Driven by a workforce of more than 1,400 employees, Innodis is engaged in the importation, production, distribution, and marketing of a wide range of high quality products and services for the benefit of all stakeholders.

In 2010, innovative retail outlets under the POINT FRAIS™ franchise were opened around the island. The concept fits into the integration strategy of Innodis to move closer to its customers and at the same time to strengthen its position in chilled chicken and other products like ready-to-cook fresh fish, packed frozen meats and seafood. in 2014, Innodis had over 60 Point Frais outlets across the island, as well as "Coin Frais" chilled corners in supermarkets.
